Hi, my name is Heather. As you can see, I'm the very proud mother of 6 beautiful children. My husband Ed and I have been married for 17 wonderful years!
I am a certified birth doula through DONA (Doula's of North America). I can honestly say that every birth I attend is a unique and beautiful experience. It is such a priviledge to be able to help women have a more relaxing and enjoyable birth!
In addition to being a birth doula, I have also been a breastfeeding counselor for NMAC (Nursing Mother's Advisory Counsel) for 12 years. I also worked the Nursing Mother's Hotline for 9 years. This is a hotline for breastfeeding mom's who are having some difficulty with nursing, or just have questions in general about breastfeeding.
Being a mother, being a doula, and being a breastfeeding counselor have been the most rewarding, fulfilling experiences I've ever had! What an honor it is to help women during the most gratifying, yet trying time of their life. |
